my oh so wonderful husband…
here he is opening some presents this morning with the very over enthusiastic help of a couple of giddy kids. We went to a very nice restaurant on saturday night with some friends of ours…
It funny, all but one other person in that picture is older than Ben. Most people are usually quite surprised that he is only just 30. Not because, i think, they think he looks older than that. But more because you dont look at his life and think…’ah yes that is the life of the average 30 year old!’
He chose a path that is not so common with the pre-30’s. Married with children by the age of 24. Some may think that he hasn’t has his fun, you know how people always say…’dont settle down, go off and have some fun’ kind of thing. But i think he gets both, he gets the security of a family that adore him and the benefit of being young enough to take those relentless mornings!!!..well most of the time!!
I dont know if he would have chosen to ‘have more fun’ before settling down, i guess you would have to ask him that, but he has risen to the challenge of family life, he is a fantastic father, a wonderful husband and a somewhat of a very cool 30 year old…if just a little bit geeky…
