A blustery cuppa – Country Kids

We took advantage of the sunshine and the blue skies today and dashed out early for a quick stroll and scoot. My little companion wasnt so keen on the scooting, she gets a little all at sea without her siblings and went for the bum on a buggy option. Even the orange cow couldn’t entice her to walk and scoot. In the end it was met with a rather dismissive ‘bye bye cow’ and we headed back.

The playpark bought out the adventurer in her and she was climbing and swinging…followed by a little trip to the cafe and a cuppa and some maltesers. Walking back to the car the sun was so lovely and warm that before we left i sat and let the sun warm my face. There is something so healing about the warmth returning after the winter.

It was a pleasant little morning and worth making the effort to get out.

the daily shutter..its unusual…

I am usually the last mum to nursery..you know the type…sweeping in at the last minute trying to eeek out those final minutes of kids free time. 🙂

Toady i had a little bit more time as i had met a friend and run a few errands and so i went and parked near the kids nursery and had a quick stroll in the sunshine. Nice to have the sunshine back and the snow gone now.

I love the little white picket type fence gateway that this church has so had to take a few pics. Looking at it I can picture the ladies and gents of years gone by in their sunday best heading to church.

Its a beautiful little setting for a church…but then that isnt what makes a church is it? An impressive building and a pretty gate?

No i think its the people,  i think the people are the church..a bit like that little kids rhyme..here’s the church, here’s the steeple..open it up and there are all the people!

the park…daily shutter…

A rare moment when it was just me walking in the park. Well and the dog….

I changed the white balance on these images for that creamy, muted tone. But then it was that kind of day anyway…

the daily shutter…

I tok this yesterday afternoon in a small window of reasonable weather, no snow on the ground, no freezing rain..it was a nice half hour. Our youngest who could ride this scooter (which up till recently was her big sisters) since around her 2nd birthday. Now it is hers, she likes to ride…and fall…and then ride again…

She doesn’t cry, she can’t stop. She rams into the back of things and people but picks herself up and gets back on. She is tough. Maybe its her character..or maybe its a survival of the fittest thing. Who knows. She just gets on with it.
